About Us Karen’s Hallmark Shop opened in Piedmont Mall on August 1st, 1984 as one of the mall’s first merchants. The store was originally located on the lower level of Piedmont Mall before moving to its current location on the upper level near Belk. Owner, Karen Johnston, has over 34 years of experience with Hallmark. Her belief in Hallmark's standards of distinction led her to run her own Hallmark store, as she has for the past 26 years.

Specialty Items We carry an eclectic selection of specialty products for specific needs. We carry gift or tribute items for great causes such as Breast Cancer Awareness. We're always Johnny-on-the-spot with items for seasonal events and holidays. We are always changing and trying to stay up-to-date with the products we put on our shelves. We attend gift shows on a regular basis to keep up with what's hot and what's new.

Santa Claus is coming to town! Christmas products symbolize a bedrock foundation at our store, as we believe the Christmas spirit should be celebrated year round. Officially, our Christmas starts in July at Karen's Hallmark Shop when the Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments first become available. As well as the Keepsake Ornaments we offer many of the popular Christmas gifts and traditions. We also carry beautiful Christmas decorations and home décor lines.
